flute, made by Dakota flute player and maker Bryan Akipa, seems
to have come right out of the 19th century. Made of Eastern Red
Cedar, thick-walled, with a birch bark spacer under the block. The
traditional beadwork is sewn onto the flute. Very powerful, haunting,
and evocative sound . Root note is E. |
